Urban Environmental Quality Evaluation Based on TOPSIS Method
【摘要】：As the basis of economic development plans and environmental planning, urban environmental quality evaluation is the need to coordinate the relationship between urban development and environmental protection. Many scholars develop urban environmental quality evaluations. This paper constructed an evaluation index system of urban environmental quality composed of environmental quality, pollution control and environmental construction and discussed index thresholds. Then the paper introduced Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method into urban environmental quality evaluation and established an evaluation model. In order to testify the evaluation model, the paper conducted a case study on Tianjin city from 2001 to 2007. The results show that there is a tendency of improvement in urban environmental quality conditions in Tianjin but environmental quality conditions are unsatisfactory. The model proposed in this paper provides a new method for the evaluation of urban environmental safety.
