【摘要】:正Background Scorpion venom(SV)has been used to cure epilepsy in traditional medicine for thousands of years in China,India and Africa.Status epilepticus(SE)is a common, life threatening neurologic disorder that is essentially an acute, prolonged epileptic crisis. However, whether SVprovide neuroprotective effect in SE hasn't been studied.Experimental approach Experiments were performed on freely moving rats made status epilepticus by administration of lithium chloride and pilocarpine.Scorpion venom were delivered by gavage 120mg/kg/d daily for 7 days and its effects on pilocarpine-induced seizure-like behavior
