【摘要】:正Nudel is an evolutionarily conserved protein. It is essential to in vivo functions of cytoplasmic dynein,a microtubule-based molecular motor critical for cell motilities, including intracellular transport and mitosis.Nudel also possesses dynein-independent functions. We have previously shown that it is required for cell migration.Detailed analyses showed that Nudel can stabilize active Cdc42 by sequestering Cdc42GAP,a negative regulator of Cdc42,thus preventing cell polarization and lamellipodial formation. In addition,Nudel also facilitates nascent adhesion formation at the leading edge of migrating cells through the interaction with the focal adhesion protein paxillin. In this talk,I will discuss our recent results on this important protein.
