Chiral Aromatic Oligoamide Foldamers for Circularly Polarized Luminescence and Chiral Recognition
【摘要】：Breaking of symmetry in molecules generates chiral environments showing chiral electronic and electrooptical properties. It is well-known that achiral aromatic foldamers exhibit equilibrium that takes place between the left-and right-handed enantiomers. Biasing of such equilibrium by attaching chiral groups to aromatic foldamers provides chiral environment, which leads to tremendous potential applications in chiral recognition and chiral electrooptical devices. We report chiral quinoline oligoamide foldamers(QOFs) for chiral recognition and circularly polarized luminescence. In details, we disclose the effect of the chiral induction and length of QOFs on luminescence dissymmetry factor glum. Interestingly, the values glum of QOFs are on the order of 10~(-2) and significantly larger than those of helically chiral helicenes with glum values usually in the range from 10~(-5) to 10~(-3) reported to date.
