The role of inducible HSP70 in mitosis
【摘要】:正The expression of heat shock protein 70(HSP70) is low in normal physiological condition, but is greatly up-regulated in response to various stresses including heat shock, deprived nutrients, oxidative stress,or viral infection. The upregulation of HSP70 is cytoprotective and required for cell survival.HSP70 expression is constitutively high in tumor cells and the elevated level of HSP70 correlates with the poor efficacy of chemotherapeutics, implying a supporting role of HSP70 in tumor cell survival.Accumulated studies also demonstrated that HSP70 interacts with proteins of mitotic structures including spindle poles, microtubule(MT) motors, and kinetochores,
