An Analysis of the Evoking Structures and Blanknesses inHome with Reader-Response Theory

【摘要】：Most works of the great writer Toni Morrison merit study and analysis.With the method of reader-response criticism the paper delved into the evoking structures and blanknesses in Home. The transactional reader-response theory demonstrates that the reader and the text play an equal role in the production of meaning of the text. With the blueprint of the text,the reader give active response to the text and arrive at some understandings of the text. The poem, i.e the work is created through the interaction of the text and the reader. The paper is designed to deal with three indeterminacy meanings and with it the purpose of the writer in creating the novel and the conflicting double narratees in the text.
