Plasmonic light and plasmon lattice produced by interaction between pulsed laser and silicon material

【摘要】:It is discovered that Plasmonic light and plasmon lattice are produced by interaction between pulsed laser and silicon material. The diffraction pattern of plasmon lattice was observed on multi-layer(Yb:SiO_2:Si) structure with the Purcell cavities array, which may be similar with the Wigner crystal structure. Stronger plasmonic emission refers to coupling with photon and plasmon confined in the Purcell cavity. Bright visible light occurs in ball shape from plasmon induced by pulsed laser, in which a plasmonic light source is built on silicon. It was demonstrated in the light source that the longitudinal polarized emission along with the direction of longitudinal plasmonic wave is much stronger than that in the vertical direction.
