Planet Gear Fault Diagnosis Based on HVD and Envelope Time-domain Synchronous Average

【摘要】:Planetary gearboxes are widely applied in rotating machinery due to unique its merits. Planet gears play an important role in planetary gearboxes, but it prone to be damaged because of the terrible operating condition. In addition, the vibration signal of planetary gearbox is complicated, which makes it difficult to diagnose the failure of gears in planetary gearboxes. To solve this problem, a method combining the Hilbert vibration decomposition(HVD) and envelope time-domain synchronous average is proposed. The HVD technique it is used to decompose original signal into a set of monocomponents. Envelop is utilized to extract weak feature related to initial gear faults and the time-domain synchronous average(TSA) technique can precisely extract the interested periodic component. Experimental results support the proposed method positively.
