Preparation, characterization and performance of ZnSnO_3 visible-light-driven photocatalyst

【摘要】:ZnSnO_3 visible-light-responsive photocatalyst was synthesized through template route by the way of plant mediation, then to evaluate the photocatalytic activities of the synthesized materials according the decolorization of methylene blue dye wastewater under visible light irradiation. The results indicated that the ZnSnO_3 synthesized by the stripping liquid of plant leaves exhibited enhanced visible-light-driven photocatalytic activity for the degradation of methylene blue dye wastewater than that of ZnSnO_3 synthesized by the pure deionized water. When the mass ratio of zinc acetate and sodium stannate solutions was 1:2.5, the total solution volume was 70 m L, the prepared ZnSnO_3 exhibited superable visible-light-driven photocatalytic activity. The crystallinity, morphology, chemical construction, and photochemistry property of the synthesized ZnSnO_3 photocatalysts were well characterized with the aid of X-ray diffraction analysis(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM),fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), and photoluminescence spectroscopy(PL). This study provides a new route for controllable fabrication of visible-light-responsive catalytic materials with advanced performance, and also provides fundamental understanding towards the preparation and application in resistant organic wastewater treatment of plants mediated visible light photocatalyst.
