【摘要】：The natural working of capitalism creates numerous disturbances and distortions in metabolic relationships.And as people,businesses,and governments try to deal with the consequences,more problems are created.The very essence of capitalism is,and must be,anti-environmental.Because of the severity of the environmental disasters facing humanity and many other species,building a truly ecological civilization is of the utmost importance.Characteristics of strong natural ecosystems help us better understand what a truly ecological civilization might be like-one in which humans no longer see nature as something external that needs to be overpowered and controlled,but rather see themselves as part of the natural world,integrated into its fabric,and living as much as possible in harmony with its cycles and flows.
