Flux growth and room temperature polarization of MgO-doped stoichiometric lithium tantalite

【摘要】:Optical quality MgO-doped stoichiometric lithium tantalate (Mg:SLT) crystals without cracks and twins have been grown from congruent melt by adding flux. Compared with the congruent crystal, the Curie temperature of Mg:SLT increased, it closed to that of the reported crystal that obtained by double-crucible Czochralski method. The coercive field of Mg:SLT crystal is 1100V/mm and its UV absorption edge shifts to 263nm. Room temperature polarization experiment of the grown crystal wafers with 1.8mm thickness has been done and fully inversed domain structures were obtained.
