Transcript profiling by cDNA-AFLP suggests extensive crosstalk between pathogen-and UV-B-induced signaling in Pepper(Capsicum annuum)

【摘要】:正In this study, we surveyed by cDNA-AFLP stress-associated transcriptional changes in pepper, which is worldwide an agronomically important vegetable, We profiled transcriptional responses triggered by UV-B irradiation and infection with the oomycete pathogen P.capsici, two importmant stresses, as well as exogenous treatment with the phytohormones, abscisic acid (ABA), ethylene (ET), jasmonic acid (JA) and salicylic acid (SA). Using 128 primer combinations we detected approximately 5000 transcript derived fragments (TDFs), among which, nearly 10% represented differentially expressed transcripts. We obtained sequence information for 363 of these differentially expressed TDFs.
