土耳其“被管理”的现代性——从青年土耳其到凯末尔党人(英文)
【摘要】：Young Turks were the first group of nationalists who wanted to save the Ottoman state/empire through both Turkifying and modernizing it. The Young Turks failed their mission to save the Ottoman Empire in effect, yet their cause continued in the name of Kemalism in the Turkish Republic.There is an obvious historical continuity between the Unionists and Kemalists. The Young Turks and Kemalists and their reforms represented the Turkish elites' top-down efforts to install European modernity in their society. The Turkish journey to modernity is a transformation under the tutelage of the state elites. This type of guided modernity started from the time of theYoung Turks and continued all the way to the Kemalist Turkey and even to present day.
