Environment and Health
【摘要】:正Man's health has become very much intertwined with his exposures in his various environments.Man finds himself in three types of environments, his work environment, his home and personal environment and the general environment of the society in which he lives. Each of these can affect his health and wellbeing, and it has been increasingly appreciated that the major area of prior research, namely workplace hazards, are now no longer entirely confined to the workplace, but can interfere with individuals outside of the workplace, including family members and others whose only potential exposure may be within the general environment. The general environment includes exposures that take place through air, water, and soil. Each of these can interact with humans to adversely affect their health and wellbeing. Increasingly, hazards are being appreciated in these areas, and to allow for future prevention one should consider more use than is currently made of the precautionary principle.
