Status and Development of Human Health Evaluation Based on Sound Analysis
【摘要】:Speech and body sound contain kinds of important information about conditions of human organs. Knowing as Auscultation-Olfaction (AO) from the traditional Chinese medicine's point of view, research on the human health evaluation through sound analysis is now attracting more and more researchers in the world. This paper summarizes the research status of computer-aided AO within China and over the world. Based on the shortcomings of current AO studies, new ideas and suggestions of applying computer technology, signal processing technology and artificial intelligence methods are proposed, possible problems in this research field and promising research directions in the future are also investigated. In our primary research essays, crying sounds of babies were studied by means of speech signal analysis and speech recognition techniques. Two kinds of baby cries caused by pain and non-pain reasons were considered in our experiments. Good classification performance was achieved by our sound analysis methods. This approves the feasibility and excellent application future of computer-aided AO studies.
