Genome-wide comparative analysis of MADS-box gene family in two Pyrus species

【摘要】:The MADS-box gene family is an important transcription factor in plants,they widely regulate the process of plant growth,development and reproduction.Although the MADS-box gene family has been studied in many plants,but they have not been comprehensive studied in the closely related species Chinese pear and European pear.In this study,74 and 72 members of the MADS-box gene family were identified in Chinese pear and European Pear, respectively.Subsequently,the analysis of evolutionary,gene structure, conserved motif,chromosome localization,microcollinearity,selection pressure,functional classification and expression pattern during pear fruit development were carried out.According to these analyses,these 146 MADSbox genes can be clustered into five(Mα,Mβ,Mγ,MIKC~c and MIKC) groups, and the MIKC~c group was further divided into 11 subfamilies in two Pyrus species.The distribution of MADS-box genes on each chromosome in both Chinese pear and European pear were significantly non-random.Thirty-seven orthologous,nineteen PbrMADS paralogous,and twenty-five PcpMADS paralogous gene pairs were predicted.Among them,we identified two tandem duplication events and seventy-nine segmental duplication events,which indicating that the expansion of the MADS-box gene family derived from segmental duplication events.Gene expression profiles between two Pyrus species fruits suggested functional differences for some of the orthologous genes originated from common ancestor and neo-functionalization or subfunctionalization for some of them.In conclusion,this study provide a useful reference for further analysis the mechanisms of species differentiation and biodiversity formation among closely related species.
