AN AUTOMATIC PACEMAKER SENSING ALGORITHM USING AUTOMATIC GAIN CONTROL
【摘要】:正An automatic gain control(AGC)algorithmis implemented in a pacemaker to improve sensingperformance and minimize human intervention.The senseamplifier gain is controlled automatically by electrogramamplitude.The sensing threshold(sensitivity)is setbetween 20 and 30% of the intrinsic peak amplitude.Sensing performance of the AGC algorithm is evaluatedusing 12 human intracardiac electrograms.The perform-ance is compared to that of a conventional fixed Sensingmethod utilizing an optimal threshold.The results fromthe evaluation indicate that the sensing capability of theautomatic sensing algorithm is as good as or better thanthe conventional fixed sensing threshold method and thatthe AGC adjusts both amplifier gain and sensing thresh-old appropriately without human intervention.
