The Solid Holdup in Fluidized Bed with Macroporous Adsorption Resin Particles
【摘要】：正Expanded bed adsorption (EBA, a kind of fluidized bed), with the features of both fluidized bed and packed bed, due to its simplicity as a single step operation, lower back mixing, and cost reduction of purification, is a novel technique and is becoming popular. Detailed investigations on the hydrodynamic performance are of great importance in its industrial applications. The radial distribution of adsorbent particles was discussed in this paper. Styrene-DVB D301R was used as solid phase and the liquid phase was tap water. The local solid holdups in a 0.15 m ID and 4.35 m height liquid-solid fluidized bed were measured by using a micro-conductivity probe technique. It is found that for such a liquid-solid system, the local solid holdup increases with the value of the rlR in radial direction and reaches a maximum when r/R is about 0.7-0.8.
