Critical Discourse Analysis:President John F.Kennedy's Inaugural Address as Cases
【摘要】:The inaugural address of American president is the manifesto of a new president,the audiences not only include the whole American citizen,but people all over the world.In content,it not only retrospects the history of the America,but also passes on to the policies of the ruling party and the ideologies of the mainstream society.So,analyzing the inaugural address of the new president from the perspective of critical discourse analysis can not only disclose the hidden ideology on the back of the discourse,but also discover the feedback of the discourse on the audiences.This thesis tries to analyze the inaugural address of John F.Kennedy,the 35th president of the United States,from lexical,syntactic and textual levels,for the purpose of discovering the specific hidden ideology and the feedback of the discourses have on the audiences.
