New Vegetation Index Monitoring Rice Chlorophyll Concentration Using Leaf Transmittance Spectra

【摘要】:Two field experiments were conducted to study the response of chlorophyll index based on three edge positions of leaf transmittance spectra to chlorophyll concentration in rice.The most upper,the second and the thired expanded leaves were sampled for chlorophyll concentration measurements and hyperspectral transmissivity of leaves on the main stem for three rice varieties were measured at different growth stages to select the transmittance spectra wavelength position and develop better algorithms to estimate chlorophyll concentration.Some indices called blue/yellow/red/edge transmittance spectra chlorophyll index(BETCI/YETCI/BETCI) were calculated from selected wavelength positions.The chlorophyll concentration had significant correlations(P 0.01) to these indices than single leaf transmittance spectra.RETCI was better indicator of prediction chlorophyll b concentration.Compared with BETCI and RETCI,stepwise regression analysis showed that YETCI_(610.510)and YETCI_(570.169) were better predictive indicator of chlorophyll total concentration and chlorophyll a concentration.RETCI wasn't good predictive indicator of chlorophyll b concentration.From this preliminary analysis it was observed that the transmittance spectra chlorophyll index YETCI_(610.510) and YETCI_(570.169) were the best predictors to estimated chlorophyll a and chlorophyll total concentrations respectively.
