Crystal structure of juvenile hormone epoxide hydrolase from Bombyx mori

【摘要】:Juvenile hormone(JH)epoxide hydrolase(JHEH)catalyzes JH degradation to produce juvenilehormone diol and regulates the metamorphosis development of insects.Here wedetermined the 2.6crystal structure of JHEH from Bombyx mori(BmJHEH).The overallstructure of BmJHEH is composed of a coreα/βhydrolase domain,an all-αlid region andan N-terminal anchor region.Structural analyses together with molecular remodeling revealnovel insights of the active-site pocket for JH recognition.These findings increase ourunderstanding of the substrate recognition and catalysis of microsomal epoxide hydrolasesand might help the design of JH-analogue pesticides.
