Population characterists of pot-seedling mechanical transplanting rice with a record-high yield over 15 t ha~(-1)

【摘要】:High yield has been taken as the priority target in rice production in China due to the importance of rice in food security.Although high rice yield has been reported in China,the yield in most of previous studies was obtained under the manual transplanting and manual harvesting method.This study was conducted to identify key population characteristics of mechanized transplanting rice associated with super high yield over 15 t ha~(-1).Field experiments were conducted in three locations(Lujiang,Wuwei,Guichi) with more than 6.67 ha at each site.Grain yield over 15 t ha~(-1)(super high yield) was achieved simultaneously in two locations(Lujiang,Wuwei).The grain yield at Guichi was 13.21 t ha~(-1),which was also achieved the high yield.Compared with high yield level,the yield in super high yield level(15.0 t ha~(-1)) were attribute to lager sink size(81900 spikelets m~(-2)),higher post-heading biomass production which supported by the increased grain-leaf area ratio,longer leaf area duration and higher crop growth rate(CGR) after heading stage.Our study indicated that improving attainable yield and yield potential of mechanized transplanting rice(15.01 ha~(-1)) should focus on expanding sink size and increasing crop growth rate and biomass production from heading to maturity.
