全球化环境下翻译的伦理与政治功能(英文)

【摘要】：正Translation practices exist since languages exist in their diversity because of the need to cross over the linguistic borders for economical as well as cultural exchanges.Now,the globalized world brought a previously unknown situation in which virtually every language could be in contact with all the other ones:a new and extensive version of a babelized world is born.In such a situation,two possibilities emerge.The easiest solution would be the return to a pre-Babel linguistic space with the generalized adoption of a unique language but the dangers of hegemonization and homogenization are severely threatening.Thus it is up to translation to fight back in establishing the best conditions for a harmonious linguistic network whose goal is the full recognition of otherness.
