Microscale Vision-based Measurements of Mouse Artery Deformations During Mechanical Loading for Material Parameter Estimation

【摘要】:正Both stereo-microscope systems and moderate magnification camera systems are used to make accurate,quantitative measurements of deformation to obtain surface strain measurements on mouse carotid arteries.Experimental results demonstrate that the microscope system with three dimensional digital image correlation(DIC-3D) successfully measures the full 3D displacement and surface strain fields at the micro-scale during pressure cycling of 0.40mm diameter mouse arteries.Results also confirm that moderate magnification optical measurements provide reasonable estimates for the average circumferential and axial normal strains during mechanical loading,providing sufficient information for estimation of soft tissue material properties.
