Integrating Occupational Health and Safety with Social and Economic Development
【摘要】：正The present day state of OHS practice is briefly profiled and factors thought tohave contributed to its development are listed. Four emerging socioeconomic conditions are i-dentified: (1) sustainable development, (Ⅱ) 9/11 trickledown, (Ⅲ) the safe and civil societymovement and social and responsible business itself, and (Ⅳ) evolution in thinking about prof-it, free riding, and cognitive dissonance. It is argued that these forces are driving an enhancedrole for OHS within social and economic development. Opportunities for APOSHO are dis-cussed.
