Integrating Occupational Health and Safety with Social and Economic Development
【摘要】:正The present day state of OHS practice is briefly profiled and factors thought tohave contributed to its development are listed. Four emerging socioeconomic conditions are i-dentified: (1) sustainable development, (Ⅱ) 9/11 trickledown, (Ⅲ) the safe and civil societymovement and social and responsible business itself, and (Ⅳ) evolution in thinking about prof-it, free riding, and cognitive dissonance. It is argued that these forces are driving an enhancedrole for OHS within social and economic development. Opportunities for APOSHO are dis-cussed.
